A Friendship Years in the Making. A Dream Finally Brought to Life.
Long before Canela was a name, a restaurant, or even an idea, there were two kids with a dream.
We're Saul and Jonny, childhood friends, longtime dreamers, and the founders of Canela Brunch & Cocktails.
Inspired by our Mexican roots, our years in hospitality, and our love for bringing people together, we envisioned something that felt both familiar and new. A place where traditional flavors meet modern brunch. Where thoughtfully crafted coffee and cocktails complement food made with care. Where families gather, friends reconnect, and ordinary mornings become lasting memories.
The name Canela, Spanish for cinnamon, represents everything we wanted our restaurant to feel like: warmth, comfort, tradition, and a little something special.
But Canela represents more than food to us.
It's a reminder of where we started, the people who believed in us, the sacrifices made along the way, and the power of never letting go of a dream.
